The reason your bike runs proper on the prime mode and not on the run side is a failure of the vacum dighram in the automatic shutoff petcock. Now the damned thing has gotten even worse and is causing you more problems!You can tell if it has failed by taking off the vacum hose that runs from the ptcock to the carb and if it has gas in it it has failed. My solution when this happened to me was to remove the vacum hose that goes from the carb to the petcock and plug both the carb end and the petcock end off . Keep running your petcock on prime. I put in an inline fuel shut off valve I got from a Briggs and Stratton parts dealer that only cost 6 bucks and really works great!!
